Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026.

Pauzenna is an intermittent fasting timer for iPhone, iPad and Android made by Badas Software, one independent developer. This policy describes what the app and this website do with your data, in plain words. If anything here is unclear, write to support@pauzenna.app.

The short version

What the app stores

DataWhereWhy
Your fasts: start time, end time and the plan or target length you choseon your device and in the cloud copyit is the product
Your fasting plan and reminder settingson your device and in the cloud copyto run the timer and reminders
Settings: theme, language, whether onboarding was shownon your device onlyto remember your choices
An anonymous account ID created by Firebase Authentication on first launchon your device and in the cloud copyto keep your data together without an account

Nothing in that list is your name, email or phone number. The anonymous ID is a random string that means nothing outside Pauzenna.

Where the cloud copy lives

The cloud copy is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), in the eur3 region (European Union). It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access rules allow each anonymous ID to read and write only its own documents. Google’s privacy policy applies to its infrastructure: policies.google.com/privacy.

The timer works offline. Changes made without a connection are written to the cloud copy when the connection returns.

Account backup and sync (optional)

Sync between your devices is coming later, as part of Pro. It is not switched on in the app until this section describes it in full, including any sign-in it needs and exactly what that sign-in shares with us. Until then, the app collects no sign-in data of any kind.

Purchases

The optional upgrade is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; Pauzenna never sees your card or bank details. Purchase status is checked through RevenueCat, which receives the store receipt and an app user ID (a random identifier) so the upgrade can be restored on a new device. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry so it can be fixed. A report contains the device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical stack trace. It does not contain your fasts or any text you typed. Sentry’s privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.

Usage statistics

To learn which parts of Pauzenna people actually use, the app sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase.

What is sent:

What is not sent: no advertising ID (IDFA, Android Advertising ID), no email, no name. Usage statistics are not used for advertising and are not sold. Google’s policy: policies.google.com/privacy; how Google uses data from apps: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Reminders

Reminders for when your eating window opens and closes are scheduled by your phone’s own notification system, on the device, and only show if you allow notifications. The live countdown (a Live Activity on iPhone, an ongoing notification on Android) is also created on the device. Nothing about reminders or the countdown is sent to a server, and Pauzenna sends no push messages from a server; reminders are local notifications on your phone.

Backup file and export

Save a backup file builds a file of your fasts on your device and hands it to the system share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice; Pauzenna does not receive a copy. Restore from a backup file reads a file you pick and adds its fasts to the app. Both are free.

Home-screen widget

Widgets read a summary of your current fast from a storage area on your device shared between the app and the widget. That data does not leave the device.

Emails to support

If you write to support@pauzenna.app, we receive your email address and your message and use them only to answer you. If the app starts the email for you, it may already contain the app version and your anonymous user ID, so we can find your data; you can delete those lines before sending.

What the app does not do

Third-party services, all of them

ServiceUsed forPolicy

Google Cloud Firestorethe encrypted cloud copy of your data (region eur3)link
Google Analytics for Firebaseanonymous usage statistics, no advertising identifierlink

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as the anonymous account exists. Uninstalling the app removes the data on that device. To delete the cloud copy as well, write to support@pauzenna.app and include your anonymous user ID (shown in the app) or a backup file; we delete everything under that ID within 30 days and confirm by reply. No justification is needed. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days and usage statistics by Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months, then discarded.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom or another place with data-protection law, you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Export is built into the app as the backup file; for the rest, email support@pauzenna.app. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Pauzenna is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app and you want the data removed, contact us and it will be deleted.

Security

Data travels over TLS and is protected by the services listed above. Data rests encrypted on Google’s infrastructure and access rules limit every anonymous ID to its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but Pauzenna stores as little as it can.

This website

pauzenna.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics script. It has no forms. Cloudflare keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, page) for reliability and abuse prevention; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date at the top. Material changes to what the app collects will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
